How we recovered £4,800 for a Southall wholesaler
Client S runs a textile and homeware wholesale business off the Broadway, importing stock and supplying retailers across west London. English is their second language and they had been doing their own returns through an agent who never asked the right questions, so import duties, container and freight costs, and a chunk of vehicle expenses had simply never made it onto the return.
Outcome: We went through three years of import paperwork and bank statements, captured the freight, duty and vehicle costs that were genuine business expenses, and amended the prior years. Around £4,800 recovered across the amendments, and a clean ongoing system with everything explained in plain terms.
