How we restructured a Greenford distribution business for £10,400 saving
Client K runs a distribution and wholesale business from a warehouse unit in Greenford, supplying products to retailers across West London. It traded as a Ltd company with Client K as sole director-shareholder, while his wife handled all the accounts and customer service full-time and his brother managed the warehouse — both on modest PAYE salaries with no shareholding.
We rebalanced the structure. We brought the wife and brother in as shareholders reflecting their genuine full-time roles, set all three salaries at the NIC-optimal level, split dividends across all three personal allowances and basic-rate bands, claimed the Employment Allowance against employer NIC on the warehouse and driver staff, and set up employer pension contributions as a further efficient extraction. We also reviewed capital allowances on the warehouse racking and equipment.
